Passing your Driving Test is only the beginning!
Congratulations in passing your test! However, where do you go from there?
Your next 5000 miles is like another crossroads in your new found freedom on the road. Every journey could reveal hidden challenges along the way (break downs and roadside emergencies). That’s why here at Team Road Ready we want you to be prepared for those times that may happen.
About Project Road Ready
Held over a weekend to allow more availability, and at various locations in the North East, this five hour event is structured around a series of practical and theory sessions, with demonstrations to show how it is done. The day focuses on giving enriched knowledge to a newly qualified driver in how to:
- Understand the importance of traffic law, how public information has changed with the times.
- Carry out simple but effective vehicle safety and maintenance checks
- Know what to do safely in case of emergencies and breakdowns.
- Carry out basic First Aid to roadside casualties which could make a difference between life and death (all delivered by a qualified and current First Aid Instructor).

About Us
Project Road Ready is a collaboration between Andy Harding Driving School and Strategic Edge Training. The idea of creating this project is to further educate newly qualified drivers in keeping themselves on the road and be prepared for events that nobody wants to face.
Based in the North East, our mission is not only to deliver quality training but also foster knowledge and enthusiasm on the gift of driving.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the reason for developing this course?
It all came about when my daughter had a puncture on the A1(M) and had no experience or practical training in what to do or how to do it.
After candidates pass their test, they are mostly felt left to develop experiences on their own. Statistics show that newly qualified drivers are more at risk for the first two years since passing their test.
We want to help reduce that risk and help gain more understanding on what to do when things just don’t go to plan.
How much does it cost and how long does it last?
What is the price of life?
This five hour course is only £55.00 (less than a price of a driving lesson).
What do I need to do on the course?
The course is based on a series of classroom, demonstrations and practical activities.
